Keto Ground Beef and Garlic Parmesan Asparagus Recipe

Weekday evenings can be extremely busy and the last thing people want to do is cook a complicated meal. This simple keto cheesy beef and asparagus recipe is here to answer the call! A delicious, flavorful and healthy meal that can be ready to eat in just under 30 minutes. Buttery asparagus tastes absolutely wonderful when it has some Parmesan cheese sprinkled over the top! For those who might not be able to enjoy flour tortillas or a bun while on the keto diet, sprinkling a bit of cheddar cheese on top of well seasoned ground beef makes the perfect replacement!

Ground Beef

  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • salt and pepper
  • garlic powder
  • taco seasoning
  • cheddar cheese (shredded)


  • 2 tbsp natural butter
  • 30 asparagus (trimmed)
  • Parmesan cheese (grated)


  1. Rinse and trim the asparagus.

  2. Place a frying pan over medium heat and add butter (I use Plugra grass fed natural butter). Once the pan is hot and the butter begins to melt, add in trimmed asparagus. Cook for 5-7 minutes.

  3. While the asparagus is cooking, place a second frying pan over high heat and then add ground beef. Brown the beef until it's almost done while seasoning it with as much salt, pepper, garlic powder, and taco seasoning as you desire. This usually takes around 7 minutes.

  4. Switch each of the frying pans to low heat for 3 minutes, stirring both the asparagus and beef occasionally.

  5. Place half of the beef and asparagus onto one plate, side-by-side. Then, sprinkle your desired amount of shredded cheddar cheese on top of the beef and grated Parmesan cheese on top of the asparagus.

  6. Serve and enjoy!
